Spring idea-events to take place in autumn 2024

Develop ideas that change the world! Spring invites young people aged 15-19 to have an impact on topics of their choice during regional idea-events. The idea-events are organized in November 2024 in Helsinki, Turku, and Tampere.

Sign up to the regional idea-events with a pre-formed team of 3-5 people or attend to find suitable teammates with an interest in similar topics.

During the idea-events, lasting one afternoon, participants familiarize themselves with problems they view significant and develop solutions to these, as well as think about target groups, needs, and their own strengths regarding the idea.

The idea for a more comprehensive idea-event came from the young people themselves. Earlier participants wished for more time and support in developing the ideas and we see these fun and community-building events as a great answer to this particular need”, explains Katariina Tonttila, producer of the idea competition.

The Spring idea-events are organized on three fridays in November 2024

Venue: Nordea Campus, Tapahtumatila (Aleksiskivenkatu 7, 00500 Helsinki)

The idea-events are organized in collaboration with local entrepreneurship societies and partners. Helsinki Think Company, Aaltoes, Boost Turku, and Tampere ES will provide volunteer coaches to support the attendees in developing their ideas and fostering an exciting environment. The Jenny and Antti Wihuri foundation supports the production of the idea-events.

The events are free of charge for participants. Make sure your absence is validated with your school, if you are attending by yourself or with a team without a teacher. There will be some snacks served during the event.

I’m happy to be a part of the event and mentoring the young attendees. It’s great to be able to provide a direction, dreams, and contacts for the participants to help develop their ideas. I want to facilitate an environment where the sky is the only limit”, says Matias Varjonen from Aaltoes.
